On White Space

There is no easy way to lay bare my recent spate of wordlessness
that only survivors
and witnesses
of Trauma
can understand.
Only recently have words begun
to court me
again
and
just
as
temperamental
and just
as
tempestuous
as
a new
courtship
can be,
these
words
are
flames
that
flicker
in
the
face
​of
the
wind.

you see
before you
holds
space
for the words
here
and many more to come.
